Philip Kayode, the popular Nigerian singer and producer, who is also known as Pheelz, has said contrary to the belief of some sections of the society, music is not a get-rich-quick scheme.

He explained that music serves more spiritual purposes.

According to him, music is “God”, stressing that it brings healing.

It is not a get rich quick scheme
It is not a hustle
Music is life
Music is feeling
Music is healing
Music is God.”

In another post, the ‘Finesse’ crooner stated that the music business was man’s attempt to commodify God’s energy.

He wrote, “The music and the music business are 2 different frequencies to me. The Music Business is man’s attempt to commodify God’s energy. The Music itself is God.”

Many up-and-coming Afrobeats artistes, as well as established stars, have cited poverty as a major inspiration for their careers.
